Dr. Gou-Jen Wang is the Dean and Distinguished Professor of the College of Engineering of National Chung Hsing University. He received the B.S. degree in 1981 from National Taiwan University and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1986 and 1991 from the University of California, Los Angeles, all in Mechanical Engineering. Following graduation, he joined the Dowty Aerospace Los Angeles as a system engineer from 1991 to 1992. Dr. Wang joined the Mechanical Engineering Department at the National Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan in 1992 as an Associate Professor and became a Professor in 1999. From 2007 to 2011, he was the Chairman of the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Engineering, National Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan. From 2014 to 2015, he was the Vice Director of the Biotechnology Center, National Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan. From 2015, he has served as the Dean of the Engineering College. From 2009, he has been a Committee member of the Micro- and Nanosystem Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and was elected as the ASME Fellow on 2017. He also serves as the Conference Chair for the ASME Micro and Nano System Conference will be held on August 16-19, 2020 at San Louis, MO, USA. His research interests include Biosensors, Biomedical micro/nano devices, Nano fabrication, Tissue Engineering.
