On March 22, 2013, International University (IU) signed with the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association (HMEA) which regroups medical device company in the region have signed an MOU for collaboration in the following areas:

  1. Education and training
  2. Research
  3. Transfer of Technology
  4. Production
  5. Quality Control
  6. Commercialization
  7. Public Relations.

The representative from the HMEA side consists of:
– Cao Hoài Trung, Engineer, President
– Hứa Phú Doãn, Engineer Vice-President and General Secretary
– Trương Hùng, Engineer, Vice-President
– Đỗ Triều Hưng, MD, member

The representatives of IU consisted of:
– Dr. Trương Quang Được, Vice-President
– Ms. Trần Thị Ngọc Diệp, Vice-Chair of the Public Relations and Research Management Office
– Professor Dr. Võ Văn Tới, Chair of the Biomedical Engineering
– Members of the BME Department
– Members of the PR and RM Office

After the introduction, the Signing Ceremony occurred at 10:00 am. After that Prof. Võ Văn Tới gave a presentation of the activities at IU and within the BME Department. Prof. Toi then toured people to visit the BME labs and presented the medical devices made by the Department members.  The ceremony finished at 11:30 am.
