Job Description: Patient assistance and interpreter for vision screening device trial

Requirements: – Must be comfortable at managing patients – Fluent in English and Vietnamese – Prior hospital, clinic experience is a plus Duration: – 9am to 5pm, from June 10 to 14 2024

Location: Eye centre and potentially community screening clinics in HCMC

Background: Currently vision screening is only done at tertiary eye centres, which create big clinic bottlenecks as the process require large space and trained staff

We have secured approval to conduct evaluation trials of an automated visual acuity test device and eye retinal image AI model and require the assistance with managing patients and clinic staff
– Training of the device will be provided, and a DLL staff will be on-site at all times
– Candidate is expected to be able to explain to patients and staff how the device works, learn to troubleshoot, and be careful to guide patients on the procedure, explain how the device works to patients and staff in Vietnamese
– Candidate will also help translate communications between DLL and the Viet clinic staff
