METHODS AND CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION AT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
International University respectfully announces university admission information for 2024 as follows:
1. Admission methods:
Method 1: Admission based on the results of the High School Graduation Examination (High School)
Admission quota: 50% – 70%
- Method Code: 100
- Admission criteria: Candidates who have graduated from High School and completed the High School Graduation Exam in 2024.
- Admission principles:
+ Evaluate the total scores of 03 subjects in the 2024 High School Graduation Exam according to the admission combination registered by the candidates. Particularly for the English Linguistics and Literature major, the English subject score will be multiplied by a factor of 2.
+ For candidates registering for an admission combination that includes English, if the candidate has an IELTS English Academic or TOEFL iBT English certificate, the average score of the English subject in the admission combination will be converted as follows:

Method 2: Direct admission, priority admission according to university and college admission regulations in 2024 of Ministry of Education and Training

Follow the plans, regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training (will have a separate annoucement).Method 3: Prioritize direct admission of good and talented candidates from High Schools in 2024 according to regulations of Vietnam National University-HCM
- Admission quota: 1%

- Admission criteria: Applicable to high schools including elementary schools – middle schools – high schools, middle schools – high schools and High schools, excluding continuing education centers.
+ The Principal/Board of Directors introduces the best candidate from the high school according to the following criteria
+ Main criteria
Good academic performance and good conduct in 3 years of high school.
The average score of 3 years of high school is among the top 3 students.
+ Additional criteria:
o Certificate or award for Provincial/City level excellent students, first, second, or third prize (choose the highest award achieved at high school level).
o International foreign language certificates.
o Certificates or award, other documents related to academic achievements and training during high school.
- Admission principles: Admission of introduced candidates according to the prescribed criteria according to allocated quota. The Admissions Council considers adding appropriate criteria during the admission process.
Method 4: Prioritize admission of excellent students according to regulations of Vietnam National University-HCM in 2024
- Admission quota: 5% – 15%
- Admission Code: 302
Admission criteria: Excellent students graduating from high school in 2024 from schools on the list announced by Vietnam National University-HCM (list will be announced later).
- Conditions for admission:
+ Graduate from high school in 2024.
+ Achieved the title of excellent student in 3 years of grade 10, grade 11 and grade 12; or a member of the school team or province or city participating in the national excellent student exam.
+ Have good conduct in grades 10, 11 and 12.
- Admission principles:
+ Consider the average score of 3 years of high school (grades 10, 11 and 12) of the admission combination registered by the candidate. Particularly for the English Linguistics and Literature major, the English subject score will be multiplied by a factor of 2.
+ Candidates can register an unlimited fields of study, fields must be arranged in order priority from high to low (desire 1 is the highest priority choice).
+ For candidates registering for an admission combination that includes English, if the candidate has an IELTS English Academic or TOEFL iBT will be converted to the average English score in the admission combination as follows:

+ In case many candidates have the same admission score, the school will consider the secondary criteria of the candidate’s international foreign language certificate score of IELTS (≥ 6.0) or TOEFL iBT (60-78).
Method 5: Admission based on the results of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) results organized by VNU-HCM
- Admission quota: 10% – 45%.
- Admission Code: 401
- Admission criteria: Candidates who have graduated from high school and participated in the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) organized by Vietnam National University-HCM in 2024.
- Admission principles:
+ Based on the results of the SAT from high to low until the end of the target for each fields.
+ Candidates can only be admitted to 01 highest priority choice in the list of registered wishes.
Method 6: Admission for candidates graduating from a foreign high school program or candidates graduating from high school with an international certificate.
- Admission quota: 5% – 10%.
- Admission Code: 500
- Admission criteria:

- Candidates are foreigners or Vietnamese who have graduated from high school with a foreign degree in Vietnam or graduated from a foreign high school program according to the list in Appendix (high schools not listed in Appendix will reviewed and approved by the Admissions Council on a case-by-case basis).

- Admission criteria: Candidates who have graduated from high school in 2022, 2023 and are expected to graduate from high school in 2024.
- Admission principles:
- Admission score = Total average score of 03 subjects of 03 years of high school according to the combination of subjects registered for admission
- Priority score (if any). Particularly for the English Linguistics and Literature major, the English subject score will be multiplied by a factor of 2.
- In case many candidates have the same admission score, the school will consider the secondary critearia of the candidate’s international foreign language certificate score of IELTS (≥ 6.0) or TOEFL iBT (60-78) .
- Each candidate can register for a maximum of 03 admission requirements. Candidates can only be admitted with 1 highest choice.
- For candidates registering for an admission combination that includes English, if the candidate has an IELTS English Academic or TOEFL iBT will be converted to the average English score in the admission combination as follows:
