We are grateful for your continued support and cooperation with the Institute of Medicine, University of Tsukuba. Today, we are pleased to inform you that we will hold the 13th Summer Research Program (SRP). This year’s program has two components: SRP Online, to be held online in July 2024, and SRP Plus, which will be held on-site at our campus in Tsukuba in October 2024.

SRP Online: We would like to ask you to nominate up to 10 students to participate in the SRP Online to be held online from July 5th – 19th, 2024. Participants will learn about cutting-edge research projects in a selection of our laboratories through on-demand videos and then participate in live discussions with the professors. Applicants must be undergraduates (excluding first-year students) or graduate students majoring in life science or related fields with a GPA of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale).

The student must fill the below form and  complete the online application form at: https://www.tsukubamed.org/srp2024 <https://www.tsukubamed.org/srp2024>.
These students will automatically be approved to participate in SRP 2024 Online. If there are more than 10 students, they may directly apply through our website.
However, we cannot guarantee they will be accepted into the program as enrollment is limited.

Deadline before June 15, 2024.

SRP Plus: Students who are planning to apply to one of our graduate programs in the coming year (Master’s or Doctoral Program in Medical Sciences, Human Biology Program, or Humanics Program, enrollment starting Spring or Fall 2025) are encouraged to apply for the SRP Plus. In this program, selected students who participate in the SRP Online will be invited to Tsukuba to conduct a short research project in a laboratory of their choice from October 7 – 25, 2024. They must also provide additional documents listed on the SRP 2024 website, including English proficiency exam scores, and a copy of official transcripts before June 30, 2024.
